The following are some samples of what some of my customers have said about my tours.

From Leonie Pouaka, Tauranga:

“This little Maori girl went to India, it was pretty exciting and a little daunting to actually go from a country with 4 million in total to a country with over a billion people. But with an open mind and heart I made the commitment 😊 I was one of a group who participated in a tour to India organised by the very lovely and extremely professional Chintamani Rath.

We were provided with a very detailed itemised itinerary of our tour and had guidance every step of the way with planning flights, vaccines and visas. On arrival in India, I felt as if I were in a bubble of care and protection from our tour guides. Sim cards were organised at the airport so within a day or so I had 24/7 contact with my family and friends back home.

The highlights for me were visiting the Taj Mahal on Christmas day, a memory I will have for the rest of my life, elephant ride in Jaipur, eating curry curry curry and loving it, masala chai tea, specialist tour guides for every place visited, the many temples and their stories, the 24 hour train ride (never to be forgotten), the shopping included specialist jewellery and gems, hand woven rugs, the markets, and the list goes on.

For personal reasons I had to return to NZ early and alone but thanks to our tour guides I was looked after every step of the way including spending an unexpected night in Kolkata, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. My trip to India will always have a spot in my heart as one of the very special times in my life.”

From Maraea Faulkner, Wellington:

“Our trip to India was a really great experience. It had all the features you expect when visiting India; a huge cultural experience, very educational; amazing architecture - visited lots of temples, forts, a palace and other great places; and these all had a lot of interesting history provided by very knowledgeable tour guides at every place we went to. The highlights for me were of course the Taj Mahal; a boat cruise down the Ganga river; a swim at the Bay of Bengal, a visit to a fishing village; and a tour and lunch at another village where we met some really lovely, people and had some delicious food.

The trip was very well organised and we were accompanied at all times by people familiar with India. I wish the organisers all the best and every success in their 'OntoIndia' venture.”

From Kay Workman, Tauranga:

My lens of the world changed forever when I accepted an invitation along with my partner to join a personally guided tour of India along with a tour group led by my learned colleague, Dr Chintamani Rath. He took care of advising on all the travel arrangements and provided detailed instructions on applying for visas, travel insurance, medical requirements and the tour itinerary. His colleague in India ensured our accommodation and transport arrangements were all taken care of and personally accompanied us on the tour along with Chintamani.

It was an extraordinary experience which was brimming with the vibrant colours, scents and vibrant scenes in the city streets, the markets & the countryside but most of all the culture and the people of India. Everywhere we went we met with the sights, tastes and sounds of India, the warmth and spirit of the incredible people of this country, steeped in history, music and philosophy.

Chintamani made the experience very memorable and was an excellent guide, historian and also a talented musician of Indian instruments. So we got an impromptu performance along with all the magical moments that were experienced on this tour.

I highly recommend Chintamani’s tour offerings as a once in a lifetime experience to enjoy authentic India on a unique tour.”
